Art #1

The past month, I’ve been doing articles rather than stories. Yes, articles; the one thing that I was afraid of doing but kept on pursuing. It’s not that I really love doing it; I just love learning, especially when it comes to writing.
Since I’m already good in writing stories poems and other literary stuffs, I’ve decided that I should learn a new thing. A thing that might bring me excessive joy or somewhat destroy me. They say that articles are just informative sentences that have subheads and other stuffs; but when I started doing it, it was something else.
The first article I made was the “Tambayan” article; it was a collaboration. My partner was a really good article writer. I couldn’t complain. Though some of my good critics said that it wasn’t very good; but it wasn’t bad either. I have the potential in writing articles, really good ones. I became optimistic about the idea of me writing articles rather than writing literary stuffs… or maybe got a little over optimistic about it.
This past two weeks, I’ve been assigned to do another article; it was another collaboration. I really did my best in my part; though I was really struggling as hell. I don’t know what to do. Well, I’m new to this; but I wanted to act like I’m a veteran writer of this section. But I guess courage and self-determination is not enough. I need to have article writing skills which I don’t really have.
I love writing. Writing has given opportunities and achievements. Not to mention the amazing people I met: Editors, Co-writers and friends; especially two of them namely Clariele and MJ. Those two ladies really stood by me in the darkness which lures me every time I feel discouraged.
If I am really the person who’ll do everything to learn, then I’ll do my best in the remaining time of the vacation. I need to improve. I need to prove to them I can. I need to learn. For the better and for the people who cares.

Stay delightful, ruler!

Last Night

I started looking at your pictures, our pictures together to be exact. It's only a few but it tells so much. I looked away from it and started thinking if will I or can I make her happy? Make her forget all of her troubles and handle life easily? Would I able to do that?
I looked at our picture together in a bus then I started recalling it again. I was on the back seat. She was a little sick that time so it got me worried. By that time I was asking her if she can handle it. She said she can, with a smile. She was always so lovely and seemingly strong to smile.
I looked at our last picture together, that time I was in a bad hangover situation; so, shit face for me. It made me look down and up day dreaming again. It would be a great feeling if I have her resting on my shoulder, holding my hand as I kiss her sweet dreams as she close her eyes for a nap. It would be awesome.
I closed the folder containing all our pictures together, upon doing it, my player played "Something" by the Beatles; it made me realize one thing,
"I love her."

Bring Him Home

“…bring him peace, bring him joy… he is young… he is only a boy…” those words by Jean Valjean seemed to affect me so much ever since I finished watching that Broadway Musical in London. After the show, I rushed into the back stage congratulating my son for making me proud.
I’m Michael Wilkinson, and it’s been twenty years since I came back from New York. I went away to escape the things I was afraid to take responsibility on in London. It was just the hardest days in my life that I couldn’t get a hold of myself. I wasn’t the best person I knew. I’d always run away from my problems and would expect them to resolve themselves. I wasn’t very proud of the way I acted.
Twenty years ago, I had a big fight with my wife. It’s a typical fight of most couples that they would start to doubt their marriage; but we keep having “The Talk” for almost every day. I couldn’t take this kind of chaos. So I moved out. I started living a few miles away from my family in London; leaving my six-year-old son and wife alone. Three months later, I got a job in New York as an accountant. Without any formal goodbye, I went there to take the job, only leaving a short letter to my family informing them that I’ll work abroad; it’s like disappearing in the thin air like air itself. I can only imagine their pain when I left without their sweet goodbye; never knowing when or how to come back.
It came a time that the company I work in had to go back to London. I didn’t go back to the family I left; but stayed in an apartment that I will soon call home. We were given a month break to rest before we go back working again. So I toured myself in downtown London as I see the sign of the Broadway Musical, Les Miserables. I looked immediately at the cast of the musical. Hoping that my son’s name is there; because I remember how he would dream like he’s John Owen Jones. I found no William Wilkinson in the cast on our local Broadway Theatre. I saw a little note beside the cast that there will be another performance in the Royal Albert Hall. I was so excited that I rushed myself, anxious to see the London Broadway cast, but by the time I got there, they wouldn’t tell who acted whom. So I just decided to buy the nearest seat to stage.
“I’m old; he wouldn’t recognize me even a tiny bit. It’s been twenty years.” a thought while I prepare myself to go to the hall. I arrived there an hour before the show start. Sitting there, just waiting, and just hoping that I will see my son after years of running away.
                                                                                    It finally started…
It gave me a weird feeling when I heard the voice of Valjean as he sings “Bring Him Home.” I just felt warm water drops in my face; seemingly like the morning dew falling from the leaves of trees. It was the strangest feeling I had in years.
“God on high, hear my prayer. In my need, you have always been there..”
More tears…                                                               “…bring him home…”
I stand for an ovation, an ovation for my son…
I finished watching that Broadway Musical in London. After the show, I rushed into the back stage congratulating my son for making me proud. I went there standing in front of him staring at him as he celebrate his dream come true. I didn’t come any closer… I just left a note saying that I’ve always been proud of him and left the hall, disappearing once again from his life…
…running away from pain once more…

Wasting Time

I’m Henry Williams and I have this really cool friend of mine. I treat this girl as a little sister. Her name is Anna Rolmes by the way, and she’s that sweet person anyone could ever have; so innocent, so adorable yet so adventurous about love. Yes, love, that’s always been her problem; she always falls to the wrong person and it’s up to me to catch her… I wish that she just remain in my arms…
It’s already summer season here and school just ended and it’s been a while since I last saw her. It’s maybe a week or so, but I haven’t heard of her ever since.  I tried to call her, text her, I even called her friends, but none. It took me time to realize that she didn’t want to comfortably talk to someone because she’s terribly worried about her grades. I couldn’t do anything but wait.
It’s been complicated since I made her pursue her feelings for the friend of mine who recently told me that she likes Anna since ever. So I cleared everything out just to make them mingle. Though it hurts me, it’s really for the best. Anna deserves happiness in her life and I don’t want her to leave for another painful adventure. I just want the adventure come to her and will stay with her till her forever. I want her to be the happiest woman alive. That’s all I wanted her to be.
A month has passed and instead of seeing her happy, all I can see is her being sad and being disappointed… worsening her pain. I feel so bad about myself because I couldn’t do anything to make her happy or feel less pain. And to think that I was the one who made them want to mingle gives me the most terrible feelings.
“…if only the person I love feel the love that I give him…” hearing that from her friend, makes me regret that I shouldn’t have made them mingle. I shouldn’t have told her that my he likes her, I shouldn’t have let her give away her heart without someone receiving it.
“…if only you could realize how I love you...”
                                                                                                What a feeling…
I gave up the girl I love for someone I thought would make a difference in her life. I trusted him with the heart that I don’t want to be shattered… but why didn’t I did something? I knew that she was going to break her heart again, why didn’t I did something to make her avoid another broken heart fresh from restoration? I shouldn’t have played the game in the first place. If only I knew that it was going to happen. I should have hugged her when she needed one; I should have told her the sweet words she was asking for I should have told her that I love her…
Now the only regret I have has to love her when I can show her that I do. It’s like having a broken right hand. You’re doing things the good way, but it can never be as right as what it should be. I wanted her to be happy; I sacrificed my feelings for her happiness. I did everything I could to make her adventure of love so romantic and satisfying. I think I over did it.
And as the pavements shine like silver, I wandered in the summer snow like the old Henry I am. Hiding the true feelings I felt for her; loving her on my own. Now, I’m happy that she’s strong enough to smile.
That’s why I love Anna so much.

A Revolution: Democracy (Essay)

History – it doesn’t only define one nation’s growth, but also the lives of the people. People make history; therefore the people are the ones responsible for the nation’s growth. Since immaturity doesn’t pick a constant age, we have become democrats – democrats of our own selfish “Wants and Needs”. Why use the word “selfish”? Simply because it is within our humanity; each and every one of us has selfishness within us. It’s either makes us wise, or glutton in greed; and sooner or later, these two things will make us happy or obsessed.

Each nation has its own government to worry about, whether or not it is bad to your country. Take Communism for example; ask a random citizen what he thinks about communism and he will tell you bunch of negativity about the idea; but people don’t realized that Communism is a perfect government for some nations. I know what you’re thinking; communism is pure evil because of the number of deaths it caused. Well it isn’t communism’s fault. It was the leader who led the country. It is always their fault. What if I told you that the Allied killed more people than the Red Army and the Soviet Union combined? Well it happens to every form of government; to Anarchism to Monarchy. It is always the people, most likely the leader, which causes one nation to collapse. Same goes with democracy.

How do we understand democracy anyways? According to Britannica, democracy allows eligible citizens to participate equally—either directly or through elected representatives—in the proposal, development, and creation of laws. It encompasses social, economic and cultural conditions that enable the free and equal practice of political self-determination. Basically, it’s about a community or a nation participating with each other and enjoying the liberty that they have earned. Freedom is served for the people who deserved to be free and responsible. Yet we tend to view this country as a playground for hypocrites; a battle ground of governance and religion; a nest of emptiness from the truth. So does the majority of the people in this country are worthy of democracy?

February 1986 – the day when democracy came to the Philippines; it was a day of glory, a day to celebrate the freedom of our country. Finally, the power is in the hands of the people. Did it really give us real democracy, a real republican government, or just a country that was lifted not by practicality, but our own democratic emotions? Are we still the number one country in Southeast Asia? Then why do we depend on imports of the goods we used to export? What happen to our currency? What happen to the proper use of liberty?

To think that the one they called “hero” or “saint” will bring down the economy of the country must have been a downer. To realize that the people’s cry for what they call democracy had transform into a cry for economic rise like what this country was before. It was the dictator who led the country into a much bigger era where each and every one of us enjoys the prosperity and wealth; but they rather chose their despicable wants they call freedom and liberty.

People Power II – they say it was a mistake having to execute this protest against the president who was able to run in the 2010 elections. Why would they execute a kind of protest when they can just wait for another election and not re-elect him anymore? And the worst part of this, the president that they placed under the position is the president that they wanted to resign with the use of the same protest. However, it is unsuccessful; the former president still had her position.

Revolution, it’s always been that way. Filipinos, since the Philippines became one, was all about revolution. We threw fought against the Spaniards with revolution; we fought the Americans and the Japanese through revolution, we threw away Marcos with revolution; ever since the island of the Philippines became one, we did nothing but revolution. This teaches us that we must not only rely on our historic revolutions from the past, but we also must adjust to the modern world where new marvels wander around and can be achieve without reckless revolutions.

History – it what makes people inspired to live a patriotic life. It is what makes us feel the urge to do something for the country. It is the reason, how the stupidity of the past can be the stupidity of the present or the future.

The Call

I went out the cozy door,

A juniper I saw, in a blurry view.

My senses see the inner fire,

Attacking through the inner peace;

Blissful peace…

As I gaze upon the river’s flow,

I keep talking on my own,

It shuts me up as I go.

I walk towards the fog,

Walking… Seeking…

I saw a lovely shadow,

Standing in the morrow

My aching heart whispers:

“Go towards nature,

And you will see fortune:

Her charming face.”

What a disgrace.

Pettiness Amity

I weep for thee, wife, for having to love me;

Thou hast avowed the gods to award me thy heart.

Thy ungrateful man whom thy heart has shattered.

Make haste my love; thy romance is not forever,

For the wind vigor void in thy conquering amity.

My heart is yet but a single being,

Divided, and it shall perish within my chest;

To be shared in two, the impossible, yet overwhelming,

Am I an honorable man who deserves love and tenderness?

Or a foul man that is yet to disgrace love?

Banish away from my life, mistress of betrayal,

The love that thou chase is not mine honor;

But a plague to the evergreen romance of my amity.

Alas Mistress of despair and rapture of my romance!

Thy wish has indeed come to its revelation.

Memories

December 28, 2008.
I was a graduating student when I met Samantha. It was around December of 2008 when I bumped into her in the mall. I toppled over the cups of Starbucks she was carrying. It spilled over our clothes. Upon looking at her, I saw her gloomy teary eyes, wavy brown hair, those fluffy cute cheeks and her pale lips; her height, four feet and eleven, attracted me even more. I stood there speechless of her beauty not realizing that she was about to cry over the spilled coffee. I then offered my hand and asked humbly for her forgiveness. I asked her how I could repent on my fault.
She replied in a soft tune:
Pl…Please be my servant…
I was a little shocked. Why would she ask that from a stranger? Without thinking, I agreed to her condition, without knowing that this will change my life forever.
The next day, she called me and wanted me to accompany her home. I rushed and went there as fast as I could. She took me in to a tea shop where she usually would take breakfast and stayed there for the rest of the day. She ordered us teas and cakes for us to enjoy; she was really a fan of these cakes, especially the orange cake. It really tasted sweet yet salty. After we ate, we talked about ourselves; I found out that she was only the same age as I was. We did the same thing every weekend since the beginning of the year.

May 20, 2009.
It was a sunny day. Samantha decided to spend the whole day with me again. She really insisted that I should go. She would tease me that she wouldn’t eat her meals if I don’t eat it with her. I never thought I would get involved with this spoiled mature little woman here. When I got there, she was sleeping at the dining table with cakes served. I poked her fluffy cheeks and combed her wavy hair for a little; she yawned so hard I laughed. She got a little mad at me and started a little quarrel for a few minutes and would hug me right after.
“You know, it would be nicer if you’re the first one who would hug me when I wake up. It’s really sweet for me… and you never even told me that you were really coming!”
“Well if you haven’t been much of a spoiled brat, I wouldn’t come here for you.”
“So does that mean I don’t mean anything to you?”
Just like any normal day, small quarrels ended with a hug.
Later that afternoon, she took me to a park near the bay. Our walk in the park was amazing. I never really thought that she would take me here. The trees are green, flowers everywhere; couples kissing each other. I envy them. I paused for a little while and she looked at me like she wanted to kill me. “Wh…why are you looking at me like that? It’s scary.” I said.  “Well if you haven’t been looking at people like that, then I wouldn’t. You know, I would really appreciate it if you spend your time with me.” I looked at her in the eye and asked her sarcastically. “You like me don’t you.” She punched me in the head and looked at me blushing. I knew in that moment that she likes me too.
It was already late evening and we were still in the park not having our meals yet. I told her that I was already tired to make her sit with me in a bench. In front of us were more couples holding hands and kissing each other. I started to wonder why she took me here in this place. While I was wondering about the reason, she sneakily put her hand on the bottom of mine. She looked away and started putting a grip on my hand. “Your hands are really sweaty… and warm…” I said nothing in reply. I don’t know why. Was I just mystified with her acting strange all of the sudden; but why is it that my heart beats so fast? It’s like I’m in a deep confusion; or is it love?
It’s almost midnight. She started leaning on my shoulder and hugging my arm. I still did nothing but listen to my heart beating hard and fast as she slowly hugged me from my side. The feeling felt like it’s imaginary; but it’s happening here right now. As my heart to continue to beat fast, I couldn’t resist looking at her adorable face, holding her fluffy cheeks; I couldn’t help myself but only look at her.
May 21, 2009. Midnight
“..kiss me now you little fool…”
She said so calm and weak…
We continued to walk around the park until she felt sleepy. I carried her until we reached her house. She fell asleep while I was carrying her. I was about to leave her room when she called me.
“… I love you, you little jerk…”
I left the room silently, and smiling. That night was lovely, even lovelier than I expected it to be.
                                                                                                                          Finally…
One year later…
It was our first anniversary when she told me that her parents were having a problem. It wasn’t really a problem that I should know; but she needed someone to share the reason of her parents’ quarrels. It was her mom cheating on her dad. She said that she was going to leave the country.
“We’re going to leave for a little while sweetheart, we’re going to Japan for my parents to cool off.”
. She invited me to spend the night with her like she was never going back. We talked the whole night like it was Armageddon the next day. We enjoyed our final hours together for this year.
“The sun finally rises…”
I escorted her to the airport that day. Her plane was about to leave, she kissed me one last time before she left. As she leaves, we both shed a tear. I ran into her and gave her one last hug until she was ready to go. I watched her plane as it leaves the airport.
                                                                        And there she was… gone…
Months went by and we only send letters to each other, it would take a month for one letter to arrive in its destination. It was the only way we could communicate. I only had three of them, which means that we only send letters to each other for three months.
                                                                                                            The fourth month came…
She never replied. It gave me assumptions that made me mad and crazy. Still I waited a couple of months for her reply and still none.
                                                                                                            Then one morning…
I received a reply,
It wasn’t from her, but from her family. It is said in the letter that they apologize for Samantha’s idleness and asked for the full strength of my heart. I paused for a moment wondering what have happen to my love. I continued reading the letter as if it was a story of the white swan.
My heart broke as I shed a tear as I read the part where I was weakened…
“…..She was stabbed and couldn’t make it alive….”
I dropped the letter. I cried for months until I became crazy. Like the black swan ever graceful defying her name; yet death hugs her and has taken her away from me.
I woke up from another garden with full of tears. My surroundings were different from home. I woke up from a nightmare with a gasp and felt so awaken that I had enough rest to live my life over again.
I stood up wearing the same suit that she gave me, this white suit that I used to wear when I go to her home. From behind, she called my name; I turned around and finally saw her again. I felt her sweet hug that I’d been seeking for years. I kissed her once again like I never kissed her before. The light calls for our souls as we go forth the gates where we will both rest.

How I Wished You Loved Me

I remember the time when you two broke up,

I would run after you, hugging you behind.

You would push me away further away

But that doesn’t matter, as long as I got your touch

That day, I would follow you home sober.

You were falling on your knees at random roads.

There, I would lift you up and you would slap me away.

But that doesn’t matter; I still managed to touch you.

You are the only reason I live in this world,

Disgrace me and send me to my own death.

You are the only reason why I live,

The only reason to live for.

That same week you began to avoid me;

Bribe bullies to persecute me.

Is this how you repay my love?

To make me even more suffer?!

OH LOVELIEST OF ALL WOMEN!

IS THIS HOW YOU REPAY MY LOVE?!

That same year, I went to your house,

I went to claim what was supposed to be mine.

You, I came to claim you my beloved!

YOU WILL BE MINE!

Oh the red liquid of my beloved on the floor,

Makes this scene lovelier than it should be.

As I dance with your head,

A romantic massacre,

With your heart in my pocket.

-ESBR

Is This How Ugly I Am?

I love you, why can’t you understand?

Every night, I’m always trying to call you.

Seeking for your voice but doesn’t get any glimpse.

What part of ‘I love you’ don’t you understand?

Can’t you see? Can’t you see this spilled blood?

Since I’ve been loving you. All my love, wasted.

When will you learn to understand? Understand?!

Is it that hard to love me? Why can’t you love me?

After every night we have a romantic walk together,

Though you don’t know I’m walking with you,

I was hungry to see your smile, those shining eyes.

I tried all my best to make you love me, but all is lost.

Every night I always visit you by your window.

Seeing you asleep is the best moment I ever had.

When you’re asleep, I breathe in what you breathe out.

Nothing else matters during the moment I’m with you.

I never want to close my eyes when you were crying.

I wished it was me you were crying about.

Those sobs should be about me.

I can’t believe you’re crying over a piece of s**t

I wish you knew how I loved you so much.

How I would render the napkins I would steal.

How I would smell your sweat soaked shirt after P.E.

How I watched you broke your heart for the first time.

I wished you knew, I wished you knew.

How I would sacrifice for you.

How I would buy you in an auction.

How much I love you.

And now you’re telling me to go away?!

How numb of you…

I will always love you. Love you forever more.

Even if it results to our death.

Rosebelt Seasons

There was a time where I used to see you,
In the park where the lights are blue.
Where a woman walks charmingly as she blooms.
She’s a beauty, no doubt, even without a clue.

This woman I see frequently, adorable and pure.
A woman who’s beauty I cannot endure.
Oh how I wish to take her to a tour,
To my heart who needs fixing and cure.

Oh beautiful lady, you are the reason,
Why I place my undying mission
To love you until our next carnation
As I give you my heart in a rosebelt season.

Loose Words

Roses and words may not be enough to prove to you my love.

Sonnets and songs only say words that can’t even fully describe what we feel.

But this is true; these words come out of my mind with love and gladness.

And I am sure that these words would at least make you smile.

How precious is your smile, oh the loveliest amongst women I’ve met.

It is like the scarlet gem which shines through the cave of my long lost hopes.

Oh my beloved, you have the smile that can make anyone smile back.

So charming, so beautiful, so lovely as always;

One reason to get up each and every morning.

The Broken Bridge

The journey has not yet ended for me,

Too much to learn, too much to lose.

I can I still take the risks?

To realize something, is for me to understand.

How will I change something that’s done?

The only thing I can do is regret.

To move on is the later part of the story.

As I walk down the earth and skies,

Back and forth, it was fun.

I was enjoying myself too much,

To realize that I left something behind.

I was too selfish to accept,

Something that wasn’t supposed to be mine.

I ruined the bridge from the earth to the skies,

To prevent me from myths and lies.

Is it enough, is it enough?

What I’ve done, is it enough?

Or will it still haunt me till I die?

I wonder, I wonder.

Will the bridge still be there?

I questioned myself,

‘Why not?’ I whispered.

The bridge was still there.

But broken and scattered.

I tried to cross the bridge once again.

It wasn’t the same.

Oh why, oh why?

Trembling hands, shaking fingers,

I asked myself why it isn’t the same.

Then I realized, it will never be the same.

The bridge will never be the same.

Self Reflection

Now, you’ve all been wondering why I’m acting like a retard all the time. It’s because of the past I’ve been through for the past 5 years of my life, probably the worst years of my sixteen years of existence. Well I’ve been through a lot, since I was grade four I was teased and bullied by people. My classmates, people around me. Some of my friends wonder why I don’t have many friends in our neighborhood. It’s because they betrayed me long ago when I was still hanging out with them. They would beat me up and force me to buy them food with my own money. So since then I would never go out just to hang with them. I ignore them now even though they call my name. In school, I remember, I was always in a fight with some of my classmates and ends up crying in the end. I pity myself from the past.

Not only that, I also lost someone from the past. She’s one of the people who made a great impact from my life. She was a really good friend of mine. I didn’t want to lose her, but that’s just how life goes. If you got to go, then you need to go. It’s one of life’s hardest events that we need to accept. They’re not coming back even if you want them back so bad. It’s just so sad that we have to go through this. It’s true that from the moment we were born, we already started dying.

I tried to get a new life. I even studied and lived in Batangas for two years. I thought everything would be in plan. Well I was wrong. It wasn’t. It got worst. I eat, play, pray, sleep in the same dorm as these people who tormented me and insulted my whole being. I was left behind alone with no real friends but a few who could really understand why I’m acting like this. Even though I was tormented and insulted, I still had the guts to stand and speak in front of them even though there was so much shame on my name. I gained my respect from them that way. But then, I left Batangas and went back here.

It was a new beginning for me here. I met a woman who comforted me for five months. It was a devastating five months with her. I had fun being with her, but she didn’t. She had to cheat on me in order for me to break up with her. With such experience like that, what am I to show to the world? I know there are a lot of people who undergoes problems that are worst than mine; but how they did it to me at my stage of facing the world. That just brought down my self esteem and courage.

Well when I was third year high school, I really didn’t have problems because I had friends there that taught me how to face the new world I’m going in. The bad part about my stay in that school is my senior year. Most of my classmates discriminate me and my family a lot. One even ruined my graduation. I hated most of them. I hated them all. That’s why whenever I see them, even in a photograph, my heart would rage in anger and vengeance.

So I hope that would explain why I act like a retard in front of everybody, I hope you understand.

Rosebelt Seasons (2011)

By Emric Salven B. Rejano

There was a time where I used to see you.

In the park where the lights are blue.

Where a woman walks charmingly as she bloom.

She’s a beauty, no doubt even without a clue.

This woman I see frequently, adorable and pure.

A woman who’s amazing and I’m sure.

Oh how I wish to take her to a tour,

To my heart who needs fixing and cure.

You are indeed an amazing woman.

Who deserves to be loved be a man

A man who hopes and plans,

Your life until death, and he can.

Oh beautiful lady, you are the reason,

Why I place my undying mission.

To love you until our next carnation.

As I give you my heart in a rosebelt season.

Sweet Victory (2010)

By: Emric Salven B. Rejano

How can I write with a great defeat?

Time is a thing I wish to repeat.

O how could I rise from a great fall?

If I only have another chance, I wish to roll

No one can understand what I really feel.

If only my skin is ready to be peel.

Set me free from this rotten place cause’ I can’t stand no more,

I know to myself that I can do more.

O sweet defeat, help me to rise.

Help my wisdom to be more wise.

O let me just touch your garments,

O sweet victory, why are you so hard to get?

Withheld

By Emric Salven B. Rejano.

Romans I pledge my soul forbidden to fight.

I am alone and is destined to feel fright.

But along my awful way there is a light,

Shining through the coldest night.

A beautiful lady who gives me life,

She who removed from my arm a knife.

Dear lady, am I a man who is considered to be a rife?

Maria, dear sweet lady, to whom I pledge my life.

Rivers flow from the mountains of my love.

My garden, guarded by a white dove.

Recessed in the shelter of a cliff’s cove

A wish, which I asked dearly from above.

My king Caesar, I ask from you a great favor,

A favor, which I am willing to give labor.

Give me a chance to go to Mt. Tabor,

For I will confess my love to my neighbor.

Sweet, sweet lady, I ask to thee thy hand.

Thy soft, smooth palm to which I planed,

To give you my love, and expand,

To the world, where we strongly stand.

I would give everything to you.

Possible, everything is in you.

Your cheeks are fluffy like soft cotton.

Your eyes are emeralds of that flame beneath my sight.

The God Given Sign

“The Clouds hid some one precious to my eyes,

Someone whose words lights up and never dies….

That Some one is God-given and has no Price…

Oh heavenly clouds, brace, the cotton where I’ll lie…

Gently open your heart as I give you mine.

forever, this will be more than fine.

I’ll love you, and it won’t be a crime.

and this will be God’s sign.”
